Rajasthan High Court: “We don’t have a planet B”; calls for heat wave to be recognized as a national emergency

The Rajasthan High Court (HC) on Thursday took suo motu recognition of deaths due to warmth wave and stated that there is a need to declare heat wave as country wide calamity.

So some distance five humans have died within the state because of the continued warmth wave situations, said the Rajasthan government and added that media reports on upward thrust in deaths due to heatstroke are “past facts”.

The unmarried-choose bench of Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand said that now the time has come when warmth waves and bloodless waves must be declared as country wide disaster and develop preparations ought to be made to cope with them.
